Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK)
Eligibility
Children are eligible for Summer 2020 VPK if born between 9/2/2014 and 9/01/2015.
For VPK 2020–2021, children must be born between 9/2/2015 and 9/01/2016.

Summer VPK starts: June 8, 2020
New school year VPK starts: August 19, 2020
What is VPK?
Florida’s Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) program provides every child who is 4 years old on or before September 1 a free high-quality educational experience.
It includes 540 hours of learning to prepare children for school success.
No cost to parents.

Preschool vs Daycare
Little Sunshine Academy is a preschool, not just a daycare.
Our focus is on enrichment and development through structured learning programs for children starting from age 2.
Parents may choose full-day care or specific hours. Extended VPK hours are also available.
Unlike traditional daycare centers, we emphasize educational growth, learning activities, and school readiness.
